In the plastics industry, Industrial Chillers are essential cooling systems that maintain precise temperature control across various manufacturing processes including injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, compression molding, film blowing, and calendering. As a manufacturer with extensive experience in plastics processing, we maintain extremely stringent standards for cooling capacity, temperature stability, and operational reliability of our industrial chillers. Every unit undergoes rigorous testing to ensure consistent performance, energy efficiency, and long service life under demanding production conditions.
Self-Produced and Self-Used, Rigorously Selected
We are not only a supplier of chillers but also a long-term user in our own plastics processing facilities. Through extensive practical experience, we have repeatedly validated the compressor performance, heat exchanger efficiency, temperature control accuracy, and safety features of our industrial chillers. Only those with reliable cooling capacity, stable temperature control, and exceptional durability are approved for our product line.
Injection Mold Cooling
In injection molding, plastic pellets are heated and melted before being injected into molds. After injection, the molten plastic must solidify before the mold opens to eject the finished part. During continuous production, mold cooling is essential to:
Shorten plastic solidification time
Improve dimensional accuracy of finished parts
Enhance surface quality
Increase production efficiency
Temperature Requirements: Chilled water temperature typically ranges from 6°C to 18°C, with temperature differential tolerance of ±2K or ±1K depending on application precision requirements.
Sizing Consideration: The cooling capacity required for injection molding is related to the injection shot size. Larger shot sizes demand greater cooling capacity. While injection molding machines are typically rated by clamping force in tons, there is no direct one-to-one correlation between clamping tons and required cooling capacity. Proper chiller sizing should be based on actual processing parameters.
Extrusion Applications
Extrusion processes produce pipes, cable conduits, cables, and various plastic profiles. After heated material is formed through the extrusion die, it passes through a chilled water bath for cooling and solidification. The water temperature in the cooling bath must remain constant throughout production.
Key Requirements:
High cooling capacity due to continuous high-speed production
Stable water temperature maintenance
For existing cooling water baths with large volume, the chiller system may not require a separate cooling tower
Blow Molding Applications
Blow molding is primarily used for producing water bottles, beverage bottles, and various containers. The process requires both mold cooling and compressed air drying.
Compressed Air Drying: Clean, dry compressed air is essential for blow molding. Using chilled water from the industrial chiller as a cooling source effectively removes moisture from compressed air, ensuring product quality and preventing defects.
Thermoforming Applications
Common thermoformed products include small containers such as yogurt cups. In this process, plastic sheets are heated and formed using molds under controlled conditions.
Critical Requirements:
Constant temperature maintenance is essential for product quality
Very tight temperature differential tolerance is required
Proportional chilled water valves are recommended for precise temperature regulation
Stable thermal environment ensures consistent part quality and dimensional accuracy
Hydraulic System Cooling
Injection molding machines rely on hydraulic systems for mold opening, closing, and material injection. During operation, hydraulic fluid absorbs energy from the hydraulic pump, causing temperature rise.
Cooling Requirements:
Hydraulic oil temperature should not exceed 60°C to maintain optimal performance and prevent degradation
Recommended cooling water temperature is approximately 27°C
Since cooling water temperature requirements differ from mold cooling requirements, separate cooling circuits with electric water valves are recommended
Independent cooling systems can be configured for hydraulic circuits when temperature requirements differ significantly
Precise Temperature Control
Our industrial chillers feature advanced microprocessor controllers that maintain precise temperature settings with high accuracy. Digital displays provide real-time temperature monitoring, and adjustable parameters allow optimization for specific process requirements.
Energy-Efficient Operation
