Modular One-Piece Plastic Square Outdoor Dining Table Mold — Product Introduction (Motek Furniture Mold Series)

Product Positioning

Motek introduces dedicated injection molds for modular square tables with legs and tabletop integrally injection molded as one piece for outdoor dining settings. Unlike split-leg designs requiring separate molds and subsequent assembly, one-piece square tables form the tabletop and support structure within a single mold cavity, resulting in higher product strength and fewer assembly steps. These products balance the load-bearing requirements of outdoor use with the convenience of packaging and transport. The core challenges in mold development lie in demolding mechanism design for the one-piece structure, warpage control of the large square flat tabletop, and strength assurance at leg load-bearing areas. Motek addresses these three aspects through dedicated design of the demolding system, cooling channels, and reinforcement rib layout, helping customers achieve stable mass production of one-piece square tables.

Product Features

Demolding Mechanism Design for One-Piece Forming.

The legs and tabletop of a one-piece square table are formed within the same mold cavity. During demolding, the cavity inserts must first separate from the product before the finished part is ejected. Referencing mature industry solutions, Motek adopts a cavity insert with opening hydraulic cylinder structure: during mold opening, the frame drives the left and right cavity inserts to first separate from the moving platen, then hydraulic cylinders drive the inserts to further separate, allowing the square table to release smoothly from the cavity. This mechanism reduces manual intervention and ensures a stable, controllable demolding process.

Warpage Control for Large Square Flat Surfaces.

Square tabletops exhibit differing deformation amounts along the four edges versus the diagonal direction during shrinkage, prone to diagonal warping or edge undulation. Motek evaluates shrinkage distribution across the square flat surface through mold flow analysis, applies pre-deformation compensation to the cavity, and adopts cooling channels symmetrically arranged along all four edges to equalize cooling rates across tabletop regions, controlling flatness from the source.

Structural Reinforcement at Leg Load-Bearing Areas.

The connection between legs and tabletop is the critical load-bearing area of a one-piece square table. The mold optimizes wall thickness transitions and reinforcement rib layout at leg roots and tabletop transition zones to avoid sink marks or stress concentration caused by abrupt wall thickness changes. Mold flow analysis is used to evaluate filling end positions in leg areas, with proper venting arranged to prevent weak points caused by trapped gas.

Balanced Ejection to Protect One-Piece Part Appearance.

One-piece square tables have large surfaces with leg structures, and uneven ejection force can cause stress whitening on the tabletop or leg deformation. Motek adopts a combined ejector pin and ejector plate balanced ejection layout, with ejection points covering the tabletop center area and leg peripheries, ensuring uniform force distribution during demolding with no visible ejector marks on the appearance surface.

Weathering Considerations Under Outdoor Use Conditions.

Outdoor dining tables are exposed long-term to UV and temperature fluctuations. During the mold design phase, the UV resistance grade of the plastic base material must be confirmed with the customer, and the shrinkage rate difference between modified materials and standard PP must be considered in cavity dimension calculations. Wall thickness can be appropriately increased at impact-prone areas such as leg bottoms and tabletop edges to enhance overall durability.

Applications

Motek modular one-piece plastic square outdoor dining table molds are suitable for:

  • Outdoor square dining tables with integrally injection molded legs and tabletop
  • One-piece square tabletop with stackable or detachable legs
  • Outdoor square tables with or without center umbrella holes
  • One-piece square tables for commercial food stalls/courtyards
  • Children's one-piece square tables (small specifications)

Service Process

After the customer provides 3D product drawings or samples, Motek completes mold flow analysis (including one-piece filling evaluation and demolding mechanism plans) and mold structure confirmation; cavity steel and moving components such as hydraulic cylinders and sliders are procured according to agreed specifications; progress and key milestones are regularly reported during processing. During trial molding, emphasis is placed on verifying demolding mechanism smooth operation and product appearance, with samples and inspection reports provided for confirmation. Before shipment, molds undergo anti-rust treatment and action testing, with water circuit diagrams, consumable parts lists, and demolding mechanism maintenance instructions provided. Technical support is available during the warranty period, with lifetime maintenance consultation.

Motek — From split assembly to one-piece forming, providing reliable injection mold solutions for stable mass production of modular outdoor square tables.
