Electronic & Electrical Factory-Dedicated Logistics Assembly Line Turnover Box Mold — Product Introduction (Motek Turnover Box Mold Series)

Product Positioning

Motek introduces dedicated injection molds for turnover boxes used specifically on logistics and assembly lines in electronics and electrical appliance factories. Unlike general industrial containers, these boxes must meet the stringent demands of electronics manufacturing: ESD protection for sensitive components, cleanroom-compatible surfaces with low particle shedding, precise compartment layouts for small parts, and compatibility with automated conveyor and pick-to-light systems. They are used for transporting PCBs, connectors, small motors, switches, and sub-assemblies between SMT lines, assembly stations, and testing areas. The core challenges in mold development lie in precision forming of fine compartment dividers, surface quality control for ESD and cleanroom compliance, and dimensional consistency for automated handling interfaces. Motek addresses these through cavity layout, material coordination, and demolding mechanisms, helping customers achieve stable mass production of electronics-grade turnover boxes.

Product Features

ESD-Safe Material Compatibility and Surface Quality.

Electronic components are vulnerable to electrostatic discharge. Motek coordinates with customers on ESD-safe and antistatic PP/PS/ABS grades, ensuring mold surfaces are compatible with these specialty materials. Cavity surfaces are polished to a high finish to prevent material buildup and reduce particle shedding—critical for maintaining ESD performance throughout the box's service life.

Precision Compartment Layouts for Small Components.

Electronics factories handle small, delicate parts such as connectors, screws, and SMT components. Motek forms fine compartment dividers, locating slots, and component seating features directly in the cavity with tight dimensional tolerance, ensuring each part sits securely without movement or mixing. Divider wall thickness is optimized for fine-pitch layouts while maintaining structural rigidity.

Cleanroom-Compatible Surface Finish.

Electronics manufacturing often occurs in controlled cleanroom environments. Motek polishes cavity interior surfaces to minimize particle retention and facilitate cleaning. All corners and rib roots are rounded to eliminate crevices where dust or contaminants could accumulate. Where required, the mold can be designed for easy disassembly and cleaning to support periodic maintenance.

Compatibility with Automated Conveyor and Pick-to-Light Systems.

Electronics assembly lines rely on conveyors, automated storage, and pick-to-light systems. Motek verifies base dimensions, stacking shoulder geometry, and locating features for compatibility with standard automation interfaces during the design phase. Dimensional consistency across production batches is critical for reliable automation performance.

Antistatic and Conductive Options.

For sensitive electronic applications, antistatic or conductive material grades may be required. Motek coordinates with customers on material selection and ensures mold surfaces are compatible with these specialty grades.

Stacking Stability and Load-Bearing Capacity.

Turnover boxes are stacked during storage and transport between production areas. Motek forms stacking shoulders and interlocking features with tight tolerance control, ensuring secure vertical stacking and resistance to lateral movement. Stacking shoulder dimensions are verified for compatibility with factory shelving and conveyor systems.

Lightweight Design for Manual Handling.

Workers frequently lift and move turnover boxes between stations. Motek optimizes wall thickness distribution to minimize weight while maintaining structural strength, reducing worker fatigue and improving handling efficiency.

Applications

Motek electronic & electrical factory-dedicated logistics assembly line turnover box molds are suitable for:

  • PCB and SMT component transport boxes
  • Connector and small part sorting boxes
  • Electrical appliance sub-assembly handling containers
  • ESD-sensitive component storage boxes
  • Cleanroom-compatible production line turnover boxes

Service Process

After the customer provides 3D product drawings, ESD/cleanroom requirements, compartment layout specifications, and automation compatibility requirements, Motek completes mold flow analysis (including compartment forming evaluation, warpage compensation, and surface quality assessment) and mold structure confirmation; cavity steel and hot runner systems are procured according to agreed specifications; progress and key milestones are regularly reported during processing. During trial molding, emphasis is placed on verifying compartment dimensional accuracy, surface cleanliness, ESD compatibility, and automation interface compatibility, with samples and inspection reports provided. Before shipment, molds undergo anti-rust treatment and action testing, with water circuit diagrams, consumable parts lists, and maintenance instructions provided. Technical support is available during the warranty period, with lifetime maintenance consultation.

Motek — From standard turnover boxes to electronics-grade production line containers, providing reliable mold solutions for cleanroom and ESD-sensitive manufacturing logistics.
